Roof planner: how the HyreRoof roof configurator works

Answer nine short questions about your home and your roof: where it is, what you need, its condition, its shape, the size of the home, the material and color you like, any chimneys or skylights, and your timing.

The 3D preview changes with every answer. At the end you see your project in one place, with a roof-area range worked out from your answers, and you can send it to HyreRoof or download it as a PDF.

What the planner does not do

  • It does not inspect or measure your roof. Satellite measurement is not connected.
  • It does not quote a price. A roofer confirms pitch, layers, deck condition, access and permits on site.
  • It does not send your details to a roofing company. A person at HyreRoof replies first.

Questions

Is this a roofing quote?

No. It is a planning tool. It turns your answers into a roof-area range and a summary of your project. Only a roofer who has looked at your roof can quote it: pitch, deck condition, layers to tear off, access and local permits all change the price.

How do you work out my roof area without measuring?

From your home size band and roof shape. A one-storey home has a larger footprint than a two-storey home of the same living area, so the range covers both, and a steeper roof shape adds sloped surface. If you know your roof area, enter it and the range narrows to yours.

Why is there no dollar figure?

HyreRoof publishes a price only when it can name the source and the date it was checked. We have not published a sourced installed price per material yet, so the planner shows the roof-area range instead of guessing.

What happens after I send my details?

A person at HyreRoof reads your request and replies with an answer and what to ask a roofer. Matching with roofers is not live yet, and nothing goes to a roofing company unless you agree.
