For roofers
How leads work for roofing professionals
From a homeowner’s first question to your phone ringing, and the parts of that chain we have not finalised.
Last updated .
A homeowner reads a guide or runs a calculator, works out what they are dealing with, describes the project and agrees to be contacted. That enquiry is then matched against the areas and services you told us you cover, and routed to you. You call them, you quote the work, you contract directly. HyreRoof takes no part in that conversation and no percentage of the job.
What is not settled yet: pricing, whether enquiries are exclusive, delivery speed, invalid-enquiry credits and contract length. Those are listed in full at the bottom of this page rather than guessed at.
The chain, end to end
- Research. A homeowner arrives on a guide, a calculator or a research study, usually with a problem rather than a contractor in mind.
- Intent. They work out roughly what they are dealing with, and decide they want to speak to someone.
- Enquiry. They complete the project form: zip code, service, urgency, property type, project description and contact details.
- Consent. They agree that HyreRoof may pass their details to roofing professionals. Without that, nothing is routed anywhere.
- Matching. We check the enquiry against participating professionals covering that area and that service.
- Introduction. The enquiry is routed to eligible participating professionals.
- Your conversation. You contact the homeowner, quote the work and contract directly with them.
Eligibility
An enquiry is eligible for routing when the homeowner has consented, the zip code falls inside a service area you have selected, and the service they asked for is one you have told us you offer. Enquiries from homeowners who say they are only researching are treated differently from ones who need help now, sending a "just researching" enquiry to a crew expecting a job this week serves nobody.
Geography
You select the zip codes, cities or counties you want work in. We do not widen that radius to increase volume. A roofing company driving ninety minutes to a job it will decline is a cost to you and a broken promise to the homeowner.
Service matching
Enquiries are matched on the service the homeowner selected: repair, replacement, inspection, storm damage, emergency tarping or gutters. If you do not do flat roofs, slate or emergency tarping, say so and you will not receive them.
What an enquiry contains
- Zip code
- Service needed
- Urgency
- Property type
- The homeowner’s own description of the project, where they gave one
- Name and email, and a phone number where the homeowner provided one
Phone numbers are optional on our form and we will not make them compulsory. Consent to be called cannot lawfully be a condition of using a service, and a number given under duress is a number that does not answer.
Homeowner data and your obligations
Homeowner details reach you for the purpose of responding to that enquiry. You may not resell them, add them to unrelated marketing lists, or pass them on. If a homeowner asks you to stop contacting them, stop. Our privacy policy describes what we collect and on what basis.
