Write for HyreRoof

HyreRoof is written by its Research Desk from primary sources. Some pages, on code, safety and insurance claims, should not publish until someone licensed in that work has checked them. If that is you, we would like to hear from you.

Who should write to us?

  • Licensed roofing contractors, to review repair, replacement, storm and code pages.
  • Public adjusters, to review the insurance-claim pages.
  • Home inspectors and code officials, for inspection, ventilation and permit pages.
  • Engineers and researchers working on roofing materials, wind or hail.

What does reviewing a page involve?

You read a draft, mark anything wrong or missing, and confirm the final version. Your name, credential and issuing state appear in a reviewer note on that page, with the date you checked it. If you will not stand behind a page, it does not carry your name.

What we do not publish

Articles written to place a link, sponsored posts, and product or contractor rankings without a documented, hands-on test. The full rules are in the editorial policy.

How to get in touch

Email hello@hyreroof.com with your name, your license or credential number and the state that issued it, and the topics you know best.

Questions people ask

Does HyreRoof accept guest posts?
Not the usual kind. We do not publish articles written to place a link. We work with practitioners who review our pages, add field knowledge, or write about something they do for a living.
Who are you looking for?
Licensed roofing contractors, public adjusters, home inspectors, building code officials and roofing-material engineers. Your license or credential must be verifiable from a public record.
Will my name appear on the page?
Yes, if you review or write a page, with your credential and the state that issued it. We never invent a reviewer or put a name on work that person did not check.
Can I link to my company?
Your reviewer note can name your company. Pages do not carry promotional links, and taking part does not put your company in front of any homeowner.
